The customer had recently upgraded their inventory management software—Inventory Master. They wanted to update their course library to have their employees retrained to the changes and new features.
The client wanted us to update the content using their existing source files, but their design looked quite dated. So, we suggested that big changes under the hood and outside commanded a visually different looking course – this extra zing will lead to users feeling excited about retaking the training.
We used ADDIE as our development model and Blooms Taxonomy to build the learning objectives, forming the backbone of the sessions.
Total 10 learning hours of training—6 hours of theory training and 4 hours of system training was built in Articulate Storyline. The theory screens (non-interactive and interactive) were built using a level 2 approach which is a media-led delivery of content with synched audio, build-up of media in the form of key phrases, photographs/screenshots, icons, and infographics. The system simulations (show-me and try-me) were built using a level 1 approach and were created to be simple and easy-to-update.
We used a clean looking UI and simpler content structuring to make the eLearning modules accessible on common mobile devices and tablets.
Articulate Storyline 360 was the obvious choice for it is flexible in allowing customization and its easy-to-use interface enhances productivity. It allowed seamless development and reviews thus saving us a ton of time and effort.
