This medical and healthcare products company wanted to train their sales vendors on the new range of products they introduced recently.
The requirement or instructions from them were simple – to build the training material in a way so as to keep it all device agnostic. Their agents and vendors who travel a lot should be able to take the training on the move when and where they want. They also wanted the program to be built as micro modules which can be easily updated in future with multilingual support.
Our focus was on having simple content presentation without sacrificing user engagement level. So, while we used Bloom’s Taxonomy as a guide to build module objectives, we employed the ADDIE model to structure the module.
We listed out important data points on their products, included click to reveal interactive screens and in-line questions to keep things light and easy for the travelling learners. Tiny downloadable job-aids and external weblinks provided additional info.
To cater to their request, we decided to go with a templatized approach – keeping the presentation of content as simple as we could. We also avoided complex graphics to facilitate faster content updates.
We proposed to use Articulate Rise, for it is a cloud-based platform which uses scrolling type navigation we are all so used to. It has standard templatized screens which look modern and appealing, and on the plus-side it allows inclusion of Storyline screens too. Because of these factors, Rise was the perfect choice for this client.
