Though we are aware that retention of knowledge happens more effectively when it is done subconsciously, the preferred method of teaching or learning would still be the one where people learn without them really feeling that they are in the midst of a learning process.

The eLearning industry has witnessed several changes and transformations in the last few years, and still a lot of programs are designed every day to materialize effective knowledge transfer. Big data:

Big data provides its users with a wide range of perks. For beginners, it can help to expand their comprehension ability of the general learning process. It also helps in personalizing learning programs by making them more adaptable for a certain user. Last and probably the most important, it helps in analyzing feedback, such as in which parts of the course did the learners focus much of their attention or which sections in the program are complex than the rest.

Gamification:

Do not be confused when we spell “gamification”. The learning is not a game but involves some game mechanics which makes learning more fun and engaging to the learners. Imagine playing your favorite childhood game and in the process learning a vital lesson of team building or communication. The fact that gamification is not only limited to learning but also complex problem solving makes it easier to come up with innovative solutions to deal with some really complex situations.

The main idea behind the gamification concept is to tap the learner’s motivation and transform it into a sense of achievement. Personalized learning:

We are all aware that each of the learners is unique in the way they grasp any unit of data presented to them. Some of your staff may be quick enough to digest a certain piece of information while few others may take a considerable span to grasp the same information. This is where personalized learning helps. By personalizing the learning, you are adjusting the form of content or creating your own learning path. In the process, you are making the learning experience compatible with your own level of comprehension.

Multi-device learning:

It is another great learning trend that is fast catching up in the eLearning industry. You simply need to own a device; a tablet or a Smartphone, and you can access any learning program on the go. With this trend in vogue, accessibility related to all types of courses becomes simpler than ever. Also, once this approach stands perfected over time, these devices would gain more prominence in the learning sphere because of the effective learning experiences they are able to generate.

Performance support:

It is extremely useful when you plan to evaluate your staff. The primary objective of performance support is to enable your staff to complete the tasks assigned to them with minimum or no amount of training or supervision. Micro learning can serve multiple purposes, such as:

  • smaller units of data are presented to the learners which would be easy to digest
  • the learning process can be defined as repetitive and behavioristic
